MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Anna Karešová | Startup Finance & Hiring Cost Modelling Expert
Financial specialist helping founders connect hiring decisions, runway and sustainable growth through simple, transparent financial structures.
“My goal is to make finance a practical tool for founders, not a black box.”
Could you briefly describe your organization and the work you do?
I am a Financial Accountant at ADC Consulting working across the Nordics and have previously worked as Financial Controller at Formalize, where I was part of scaling the company from an early stage to a larger international setup. My background is in Economics, Business Administration and Operations and Supply Chain Analytics, and I’ve worked in roles that require a high level of accuracy, problem solving, and clear communication. In this program, I bring the financial perspective: how to build simple, reliable financial structures that support growth, hiring and investment decisions, instead of holding them back.
What is the main focus of your work today?
My focus is on creating transparency in numbers: understanding costs, cash flow, and the financial impact of hiring and growth decisions. I help turn financial data into something founders and leaders can use in everyday decisions, not just at yearend.
Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m a financial professional with experience from scaling companies. I enjoy bringing order and clarity to complex situations and translating financial realities into simple overviews. My goal is to make finance a practical tool for founders, not a black box.
What are you most looking forward to during the project?
I look forward to helping founders connect their hiring and growth ambitions with their financial reality. It’s rewarding to see when a company suddenly understands how a few key numbers can guide better decisions on when, who and how to hire.
What do you think makes the programme unique?
The program doesn’t treat recruitment, legal, and finance as separate silos. It looks at how these pieces work together in real companies. That integrated view is, in my experience, what many founders miss when they grow from a small team to a more structured organisation.
What would you say to a founder who is unsure whether to join?
If numbers and contracts sometimes feel overwhelming, this is a good place to ask questions and get practical answers. You don’t need to become a finance expert – but understanding a few basics will make your growth journey much less stressful.
What do you bring to the programme?
I contribute to a financial scaling perspective: budgeting, cost understanding, and simple reporting that supports growth. I can help participants see how their current and future hires show up in their numbers, and what that means for runway, profitability, and risk.
What kind of companies would you especially like to see join the programme?
Companies that are starting to feel the weight of more employees, more contracts and more expenses – and want to gain control without drowning in spreadsheets. Especially those who want to make hiring and growth decisions based on both ambition and a realistic financial picture.
Is there anything else you would like to share with founders considering the programme?
Finance can be a strong ally for founders if it is kept simple and transparent. My hope is that this program will make it easier to talk openly about money, costs and risk, so decisions around recruitment and growth feel informed rather than scary.
