From Denmark, Business Lolland-Falster is building bridges through the new ÖKS collaboration Skills 2 Grow!

From the southeastern part of Denmark, Business Lolland-Falster works closely with startups and SMEs, helping them grow through advisory, partnerships, and hands-on support. With strong local anchoring and close collaboration with public and private stakeholders, they play a key role in strengthening entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable growth in their region.

As part of international projects like Skills 2 Grow, they bring years of experience – and contribute to knowledge sharing and cross-border collaboration across the Nordics.

Representing the organization in the project are Lise Damsbo Savic, Head of Partnerships, and Mikkel O Madsen. Both work with business development, partnerships and startup support, focusing on creating value for companies through collaboration, advisory, and project development.

With the combination of Lises 14 year's experience with working with local companies, supporting them in addressing recruitment challenges and building sustainable teams, and Mikkels hands-on experience working with start-up companies, Business Lolland-Falster has a solid foundation to bring into Skills to grow.

Building practical tools for real startup challenges

For Business Lolland-Falster, one of the most exciting aspects of Skills 2 Grow is the opportunity to co-create practical tools that founders can use directly in their recruitment journey.

– “We are also looking forward to strengthening collaboration across borders and contributing to a program that creates real value for startups, not just theory”, says Lise Damsbo Savic, and continues;

–”The combination of hands-on learning, structured skills development and a strong cross-border perspective makes the program unique. It connects theory with practice and gives startups access to relevant knowledge across the Nordic ecosystem.”

 “If you are in doubt, this programme offers a safe space to build skills, gain insights and avoid costly mistakes. It is a practical opportunity to strengthen your company with support from experienced partners and peers.”

A safe space to grow and avoid costly mistakes

For founders who are unsure whether to join, the message is clear.

– “If you are in doubt, this programme offers a safe space to build skills, gain insights and avoid costly mistakes. It is a practical opportunity to strengthen your company with support from experienced partners and peers.”

Business Lolland-Falster contributes to the program with strong regional anchoring, close relationships with startups, and experience in facilitating growth processes. They help ensure relevance, engagement, and that the program meets the real needs of early-stage companies.

–” We aim to engage early-stage startups and growth-oriented SMEs, especially those planning their first hires or scaling their teams. Companies with ambition to grow and openness to cross-border collaboration are particularly relevant.”

– “By combining local insight with international perspectives, we see great potential to support startups in building stronger and more sustainable businesses.”

The applications open April 22
