Meet the Skills 2 Grow-Partners: Impact StartUp!

From Oslo, Norway: Impact Startup is building bridges through the new ÖKS collaboration Skills 2 Grow! 

Impact StartUp is a Norwegian non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening the social entrepreneurial ecosystem. They support social entrepreneurs in different stages in their start-up journey and help them to build resilient businesses that deliver positive impact.  

With years of expertise in early-stage startups, design thinking, and programme development, Impact StartUp plays a key role in shaping the online content and digital collaboration that forms the basis of Skills2Grow. 

“The focus on cross-border recruitment is fantastic; and not something that I have seen many programs supporting early-stage businesses focus on before. It feels incredibly relevant too in a world where talent has never been more mobile and global”, says Luiza Grizzelle, Impact StartUp  

Luiza Grizzelle works as a Business Developer at Impact StartUp. She is passionate about helping early-stage founders to build hybrid businesses which harness commercial business models to deliver positive social or environmental impact. 

– “I am excited to meet and work with early-stage founders as they approach one of their first major milestones: making their first hire! It is also great fun to collaborate with fantastic and talented colleagues in Sweden and Denmark to deliver Skills2Grow”, says Luiza. 

Tumi Sineke work as Program Manager in Impact StartUp. She is a deeply curious facilitator and connector who is passionate about supporting impactful founders with what they need to unlock their potential beyond what they thought possible. 

–” I’m looking forward to seeing the startups have their burning hiring questions and challenges answered. I’m excited for how we’re able to support their growth journey”, says Tumi. 

Designing a programme that meets founders where they are 

A key strength of Skills 2 Grow is its flexible structure. The programme is designed to meet founders at different stages, allowing them to focus on the skills most relevant to their company. 

– “We know there is not one size that fits all. That is why we have built the programme with a ‘menu’ approach, so founders can develop the competencies that matter most to them”, says Luiza. 

At the same time, the programme is built to be practical and accessible. 

– “What makes this program special is the emphasis we’ve put on giving the founders `just enough´. We’ve focused on providing just enough support and structure for them to not only have what they need to start recruiting, but also by breaking this content down into tangible, accessible touchpoints in multiple engaging formats”, says Tumi. 

For Impact StartUp, one of the most unique aspects of Skills 2 Grow is its strong focus on cross-border recruitment. 

By bringing together partners from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, the programme creates new opportunities for startups to access talent beyond their local networks. 

A programme for founders ready to grow their team 

Impact StartUp sees a clear need among early-stage companies preparing to hire. Without the right knowledge and timing, recruitment can become both costly and challenging. 

– “As a founder, you know that hiring is the most important thing you will do. At the same time, if done without accurate, timely information, you could become very costly in time, money and effort. Our program’s purpose is to give you the guidance to give you the best possibility of scaling your team”, says Tumi.
